Welcome to the official website of the Mississippi Dental Hygienists' Association (MDHA).

 MDHA is a constituent of ADHA (American Dental Hygienists' Association), the largest professional organization representing the interests of dental hygienists. Our members enjoy professional support, educational programs, and numerous opportunities for participation in association decision making. With your help, we can carry out our mission to advance the art and science of dental hygiene, and to promote the highest standards of education and practice in the profession.

Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH is a licensed preventive oral health professional. Dental hygienists must graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program with a certificate, associate or baccalaureate degree, pass a written National Board Examination and a state clinical board examination.

                    from Merigold, MS.
                 Linda graduated from UMC
  in Jackson and is now a full time
  instructor at Mississippi Delta
  Community College. Linda also
  serves as mentor for future RDH's.
  
  Linda looks forward to serving as
  your president for the coming year.   She will work to enrich MDHA   and help grow our membership.

ADHP Legislation in Minnesota - Update
  On Monday, May 12, 2008, Minnesota’s Governor Tim Pawlenty signed a bill establishing an Oral Health Practitioner (OHP) into law.
   Passage of this landmark legislation is a major step towards easing the access to care for the many people who are disenfranchised from the current oral health care system. Full story
