The 80th MDHA Annual Session was held in Hattiesburg, MS on March 28, 2008 at Southern Oaks House and Garden with the highest recorded attendance of any MDHA meeting.  Two hundred sixty Dentists, hygienists, assistants and students attended and enjoyed a variety of speakers and 10 exhibitors, despite a large increase in the fee charged to vendors.

Eight informative table clinics were presented by a dozen UMC dental hygiene students. Students from many schools supported their student associations (SADHA)  by selling products for fund raising. Businesses from all over the state provided door prizes including products made in Mississippi, garden items, artwork and dental products.

Addressing the business meeting were MDHA board members as well as Diane Howell, Executive Director of the MSBDE  and Catherine Ellington, District VI Trustee.

MDHA Clinical Achievement awards were presented to dental hygiene students from all five schools in the state.
Ron Kimbrough, dental sales rep with Premier Dental, introduced new products at the morning session and
Dr John Roberson conducted a presentation on Medical Emergencies in a Dental Setting at the afternoon session.

Donna Lunn, President 2007-2008 and officers take this opportunity to thank all who assisted, attended, and participated in any way in Annual Session 08.
